Relocation home loans

Moving to a New Area? Start Here.

A move can mean a new job, a growing family, a fresh start, or the chance to live closer to the people you love. I’ll help you make sense of the home financing piece so you can move forward with more clarity.

Couple walking together through a welcoming neighborhood

Your move has a lot of moving parts

Let’s make the mortgage one feel more manageable.

Whether you are selling a home, renting while you get to know a new area, moving for work, or buying your first home in a new city, the right plan starts with the whole picture. We can talk through your timing, down payment, monthly comfort level, and the questions you want answered before you fall in love with a house.

I originate loans in California, Tennessee, and Texas. If your move involves another state, I will tell you that up front and help you understand your next best step.

A simple place to begin

Three things to bring into the conversation

01

Where you are now

Are you selling, renting, or keeping your current home? That can shape your available funds and timeline.

02

Where you are headed

Tell me the city or region you are considering, what you need from the home, and how soon you hope to move.

03

What you want to protect

Your monthly comfort level, savings, flexibility, and long-term goals all matter more than chasing a number in isolation.

Ready when you are

Let’s talk through your move.

Bring your questions, your rough timing, and the places you are considering. I’ll help you see the mortgage steps more clearly.

Amy DeBusk, mortgage advisor

A conversation with Amy

Let’s talk through the move before you start making offers.

Relocating asks you to make a lot of decisions at once. I bring more than 25 years of mortgage experience to the financing conversation, so we can slow it down, look at the details that matter, and build a plan around your real life.

Bring the address you are leaving, the places you are considering, and any questions you have. We will take it one step at a time.

Before we begin

A few helpful relocation questions

Can you help if I am selling one home and buying another?

Yes. We can start by talking through your estimated equity, down payment, timing, and how a sale might fit alongside the next purchase. The best approach depends on your individual situation and qualification.

Can I work with Amy if I am moving from another state?

I originate loans for properties in California, Tennessee, and Texas. If the home you are buying is in one of those states, we can talk through your move. If it is elsewhere, I will be direct about the right next step.

Should I get preapproved before I visit homes?

It is often helpful to understand your financing range before you travel, tour homes, or make an offer. We can review what you need to prepare and which numbers are most useful for your search.
